Online update to make things run smoothly for car buyers

UPMARKET car seller AutoVIP has relaunched its website to offer motorists a quicker and easier way to buy and sell prestige cars.

The Harrogate-based company said the new-look website would make it much easier for customers to trade their vehicles.

The new site will provide the latest motoring industry news and will also list customer testimonials.

Managing director Paul Walker said: “We have put a lot of work into growing AutoVIP over the last two years and have enjoyed great success, but it was time that our website was updated to make the prestige car-selling process even easier for our customers.

“The new-look website is user-friendly, easy to navigate, clear and concise, allowing us to show off the amazing cars and ensuring sellers understand the process and how they will get the best deal for their vehicle.”

The company, which was founded two years ago by Mr Walker and chairman Jeremy Fenn, is based at the Grade II listed Conyngham Hall in Knaresborough, Harrogate. The group’s headquarters are a few miles off the A1M.

Mr Walker previously worked at BMW Leeds and Mr Fenn has held positions as managing director at Leeds United and director at SkySports.com.

Since launching in 2009, AutoVIP has purchased millions of pounds worth of prestige cars from sellers across the UK.

Customers include famous pop stars, footballers, celebrities and high-profile business people in addition to companies and private individuals.

All prestige car sellers are offered a free valuation and no-obligation cash offer from AutoVIP’s network of dealers around the country.

Details are circulated to a network of more than 1,000 main and specialist dealers nationwide which then compete against each other to buy the car directly.

AutoVIP has a data base of more than 7,000 prestige car owners and 7,500 registered customers on its database.

They use AutoVIP to buy, sell and finance their cars.

Typical car makes on the company’s books include Porsche, Mercedes, Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar, Bentley, Ferrari, Aston Martin, BMW and Audi.

The vehicles that appear on the website are usually less than four years old and tend to have fewer than 40,000 miles on the clock.

If the car does not match the sales profile, AutoVIP says that its trade contacts can help customers sell older prestige vehicles with more miles on the clock.
