Partners take on micro-brewery

TWO Yorkshire businessmen who bought a micro-brewery aim to increase capacity by 50 per cent after investing in new equip- ment.

Richard Sharp, who owns Phoenix Whirlpools in Morley, and Paul Horne, who runs the Spotted Cow in Drighlington, set up Partners Brewery to buy the goodwill and assets of Dewsbury-based Anglo-Dutch Brewery, formed over 12 years ago.

Head brewer Paul Klos, who founded the business with Mike Field, who established the West Riding at Dewsbury train station, will remain with the brewery, which employs four staff.

The company is investing in new brewing equipment, which will increase the number of casks it produces a week from 64 to 96, and is creating new products.
