Pesto opening to serve up 30 new jobs

PESTO Italian Restaurants has said it is creating 30 jobs with the opening of its first Pesto restaurant in North Yorkshire later this summer.

The North-based group said that it is to be established at the South Stainley Red Lion pub. The pub is the subject of a £325,000 joint investment from Pesto restaurants and the Spirit Group.

Co-owner of Pesto Restaurants Sara Edwards said: “Following on from the success of our Pesto restaurant near Bradford we are incredibly excited about becoming a key part of the Harrogate community and introducing the people of North Yorkshire to our unique ‘piattini’ dining concept.”

Pesto offers a variety of ‘piattini’, which translates as ‘small plates’, allowing diners to share a number of different Italian dishes.

The group said that Pesto at the Red Lion will offer “original Italian dining combined with open fires, real ales and a relaxed environment in a stunning setting”.
