Pinsents’ role in Carlyle and Palamon deal

YORKSHIRE lawyers flexed their national credentials yesterday by playing a key role in the sale of a Cheshire firm to two global private equity houses.

The Leeds office of Pinsent Masons advised Synova Capital on its disposal of DBG to global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group and Palamon Capital Partners. The firm provides support services to more than 8,000 dental, GP and veterinary practices across the UK.

Michael Walby, of Pinsents, said: “We are very pleased to have worked with Synova and the DBG management team on this important transaction and wish the business well in the next exciting stage of its development.”

Eric Kump, of Carlyle, said DBG is a well-established business delivering clear benefits to members, customers and suppliers.
