Plum role for online bathroom retailer as group creates new brand image

A LEADING online bathroom retailer in East Yorkshire is changing its name and expanding its range to include bedrooms.

Victoria Plumb will now be known as VictoriaPlum.com, and alongside its new brand image has launched a faster, easier-to-use website www.VictoriaPlum.com. The changes have been developed from extensive customer insights into how people shop for products for their home.

The 15-year-old retailer is well known for supplying designer bathrooms and will apply the same successful online-only approach to other areas of the home starting with the bedroom. It has developed all consumer and trade facing communications to emphasise key benefits and with the launch of the new brand identity customers are now able to register for more information about the forthcoming bedroom range.

Ben Padley, chief marketing officer, said: “VictoriaPlum.com is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our customers.

“These changes to our brand and website have been made to help enhance the customer’s journey and to give them the confidence in the choices they are making, both in terms of products and in us.

“VictoriaPlum.com has been successfully delivering year on year growth for over 15 years, and now we want to help our customers in other areas of their homes. Our next move will be across the landing, bringing our philosophy of designer products at internet prices to the bedroom.”

The company says its new website is specifically created to provide a faster and easier shopping experience for customers on mobile phones, tablets and desktop computers.

It also allows the company to showcase designs and provide advice and is designed to make recommendations customers are likely to be interested in.

The family-run business was launched in 1999 with the brand beginning trading in 2001, and has since seen consistent growth in sales and investment.
