Polypipe buoyed by UK sales
The Doncaster-based firm maintained its positive trading performance in its main UK market during the first four months of 2015 with revenue growth from UK operations of 6.3 per cent ahead of the same period in the previous year.
Revenue from its commercial and infrastructure business in Europe, mainly in France, declined by 18.3 per cent in the period, 8.9 per cent at constant exchange rates.

Hide AdDavid Hall, chief executive, said: “Our growth initiatives combined with the continued positive market backdrop in our main UK market means we remain confident that the Group will deliver results for the year in line with board expectations.”
In the UK demand has continued to grow across the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors it serves.
Polypipe said that within residential it was encouraging for it to see some improvement in the repair, maintenance and improvement activity which remains well below previous levels.
The firm said it continued to benefit from its strategic growth initiatives in the areas of Water Management and Carbon Efficient Solutions.
Export sales to the Gulf region also performed well in the period.
