Professional services organisation launching

A new professional services association is being launched in Yorkshire.

The Association of Partnership Practitioners (APP) is an organisation of professionals that deal with or provide advice to partnerships.

APP members include lawyers, accountants, tax advisers, management consultants and bankers. Its services include a directory of experts and mediators.

It also holds regular workshops which enable members to share their knowledge and contacts.

The first event for the Yorkshire and North East Group will take place on Thursday, October 20 at 5.45pm at the offices of law firm Addleshaw Goddard in Leeds and it has the title Mergers and Leading Effective Change.

The event will be chaired by Mark Jones, the former managing partner of law firm Addleshaw Goddard and speakers include Peter Crossley of Squire Sanders Hammonds.

The formation of the Yorkshire and North East Group follows the successful launch of the North West Group earlier this year.

The association has concentrated much of its activities in London, but it is now branching out elsewhere into Yorkshire and the North East.
