I expect retail sales, the sector I work in, to strengthen further going forward, in response to improving confidence as the economy and labour market improve.

What is the best project you have been involved in?

We were involved in the creation of a stained glass effect “window of fame” within a shopping centre which was 10 metres high and four metres wide and featured self-portraits by local school children. It delivered excellent return on investment and won a BCSC Purple Apple Award.

What is your favourite building in the region and why?

Trinity Leeds – it’s been great to see the development and launch of a new shopping centre in the city that I live in and to witness the positive impact that it’s made.

If you could change one thing to improve the property industry in this region, what would it be?

I hope we will see a real progress in the representation of women working in property across Yorkshire.

Whom has inspired you?

I’m fortunate that my career has allowed me to meet and work with lots of people from all walks of life who have all helped to inspire me in different ways.
