“We’re confident that the investment we have made firmly puts us back at the forefront in terms of range and value.”

Mr Eltherington said: “Because we use a large quantity of the materials that we offer through our stockholding business in our manufacturing plant, we are able to pass on the benefits of bulk buying to our stockholding customers.”

Besides stockholding, Eltherington manufactures specialist products for the architectural, modular building and leisure home sectors.

The company has supplied several high profile projects in the region including perforated aluminium cladding for The Arc in Hull and the metallic blue roof elements for Hull Kingston Rovers RLFC.

It currently employs over 170 people with a turnover in excess of £20m at its 6.6-acre site.
