Q1 trading "satisfactory", says debt-free Renew

Construction services company Renew Holdings today described trading in first quarter as "satisfactory" and said the business remains in good shape.

Roy Harrison, chairman of the Aberforth-based group, will deliver an upbeat message at today's AGM.

He will say: "Trading for the first quarter of the year has been satisfactory, despite still challenging market conditions.

"The order book at December 31 2009, not including the potential benefits from framework agreements or preferred bidder situations, remained strong at 200m.

"Renew remains debt free with available cash resources and, at December 31 2009, the Group's net cash balance was in excess of 13m.

The group's interim results will be announced on May 25.
