RBS choice to help with float of Direct Line

The Direct Line brand has more than 10 million customers in the UK, Germany and Italy and offers motor, home, rescue, commercial, and international insurance.

The group’s other insurance brands include Churchill and Privilege.

The group also owns Green Flag, the third-biggest roadside recovery organisation in the UK.

Green Flag started as National Breakdown, then a local recovery service serving the Bradford area.
