Region now has first M&S bank outside the capital

A “NEW style of banking” came to Yorkshire yesterday with the opening of the first M&S Bank outside of London at Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre.

The bank was officially opened by Colin Kersley, CEO of M&S Bank, and manager of the new branch Joanne Naylor.

It will be open during the same hours as the Meadowhall M&S store, which is currently being refurbished.

Mr Kersley said: “Our branches have been designed around the needs of our customers, offering them the style of banking they want, available at times to suit their busy lifestyles.

“I am delighted to open the Meadowhall branch of M&S Bank and look forward to welcoming our customers here today.”

Services on offer include offering customers a pager, so they can leave and be called for their apppointment, rather than waiting for an adviser to become available.
