Rippon Homes plans return to Yorkshire

Rippon Homes is to expand into Yorkshire with a new development in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

The Priory is a development of 61 new homes which Rippon Homes is building on the former Simpson’s Malt site off Ferrybridge Road.

The company now directly employs 52 members of staff, as well as supporting hundreds of additional jobs on-site at its developments.

Ian Dyke, managing director of Rippon Homes, said: “We have a long history in Mansfield – people know our name, they know what to expect from a Rippon Home and, most importantly, they know that they can trust the build quality of our properties.

“Our aim in launching The Priory was to take this ethos with us to Yorkshire, where historically we have completed a number of successful developments.”

Mr Dyke said the company is looking forward to establishing itself as locally-known name in West Yorkshire.

“We’re really pleased to be building in Yorkshire for the first time since 2009. Our aim is for people in Pontefract to come to know us as a local housebuilder who they can really trust to build them a high-quality new home.

“We don’t just sell new houses – we realise that we’re selling a lifestyle and we want every one of our buyers to feel like they’re living the dream when they move into their new Rippon home.”

House buyers have been making use of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme at Rippon Homes’ developments since the equity loan scheme launched in April 2013.

Mr Dyke said: “The Help to Buy scheme has given first-time buyers a real boost and enabled a lot of people who thought home ownership was out of their reach the chance to get onto the property ladder.”
