Rival’s approach to Optare could scupper deal with India investor
Alexander Dennis employs around 2,000 people worldwide, including Guildford and Scarborough as well as in Asia and North America.
There are four companies in the group: Alexander Dennis, Alexander Dennis (Far East), Alexander Dennis Incorporated, and Plaxton.
Scarborough-based Plaxton, Alexander Dennis’s coach building business, joined the group in 2005. The Scarborough site makes a range of small, large, express and luxury coaches. ADL Enviro200 midi buses are also assembled at Scarborough.
