RSM Tenon's good progress

ENLARGED business adviser RSM Tenon said it expects to make "significant progress" on integrating RSM Bentley Jennison by the end of its financial year.

Last year Tenon revealed plans to buy the professional services firm for up to 76.3m, to create RSM Tenon.

Integrating the two businesses is underway, it said yesterday, with progress expected by the end of June.

"The progress of our recovery specialism, which will be accelerated within the newly enlarged RSM Tenon, has enabled us to make healthy progress," said chief executive Andy Raynor.

"Our business is well placed to take advantage from changes in taxation and the wider economy."

Tenon has offices in Leeds, Hull, Wakefield, Grimsby and Doncaster, while RSM Bentley Jennison has bases in Leeds and Harrogate. The group now employs about 200 across the region.

RSM Tenon added it has performed in line with expectations, and it is confident of growing revenues while cutting costs, via the merger.

Its recovery arm, which works with struggling businesses, has grown by 20 per cent organically over six months to the end of December compared with the same period a year earlier, the group said.
