Sage words on Goldman Sachs
Warren Buffett, the so-called Sage of Omaha and one of the world's richest men, launched a strong defence ofBerkshire Hathaway's $5bn investment in Goldman Sachs Group and the investment bank's embattled chief executive, Lloyd Blankfein.
Speaking at Berkshire's annual meeting before an estimated 40,000 shareholders, he said "We love the investment."
He also branded the Royal Bank of Scotland as "dumb" for losing $900m on the $1bn Goldman transaction under investigation by civil and criminal investigators in the United States.
