Servelec reports ‘healthy trading’

Servelec has been named as preferred bidder for IT services at 17 NHS trusts, building on its success since going public in December.

The specialist IT provider saw “healthy trading” the nine months to September 30, according to its trading update. In addition to bidding success, it saw “significant increases” in orders compared to the same period last year and is on track to meet revenue and profit expectations in its first year as a listed company. Alan Stubbs, chief executive of Servelec Group, said the company’s third quarter results were a “solid performance” that puts it in a good position for its 2014 targets.

opportunities in front of both of our divisions’ pushing into new areas.”

Servelec, which was previously part of the BT-led National Programme for IT deliver its first non-BT installation for West London Mental Health Trust in July, completing the project on time and on budget. It has also seen increased interest in its hosting services.

It is now preparing for increased activity in the fourth quarter, as Northern NHS trusts open competition for their IT systems refresh. At its half-year results, Servelec saw revenue climb 29 per cent to £25m.
