Sam Newton, co-owner of Gravitate Accounting, said: “During the last year, we’ve expanded our team further to respond to the demand we’re seeing for professional accountancy services.

"Business owners have been taking stock of the economic climate and looking to make solid financial decisions which will stand the test of time. As a result, we’ve seen an increase in clients looking at major funding options and ownership decisions.

“Businesses are always navigating change and this last year has been one of continual updates with regards to tax, interest rates and much more. We are committed to supporting clients and the wider public by providing sound practical financial advice - which is why we’re pleased to launch the financial wellbeing course.”

Gravitate Accounting recently launched and developed a financial wellbeing course alongside Sheffield-based Lights On Wellbeing.

The two organisations identified that various mental health conditions stem from financial worries and are working together to deliver sessions which protect and educate attendees.

In the last year, Gravitate Accounting also welcomed its first apprentices to the team. Earlier this year, Sam Newton was named ‘Accountant of the Year at the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards.
