The skills of marketing

Some of the UK's top marketing professionals will be at Weetwood Hall Conference Centre and Hotel in Leeds next month to brush up their skills at an event titled Advanced Knowledge for Senior Marketers.

Jeremy Bassett, of organisers the Levitt Group, said: "To maximise use of delegates' time, the event starts at 5:30pm on March 19 and finishes at lunchtime on March 20."

Speakers on the Friday night are Neil Pakey, deputy chief executive of John Lennon Airport, who will talk about the power of PR, and Professor Stan Paliwoda of Strathclyde University will talk on the subject of 'international markets – the bigger picture'.

The event is open only to chartered marketers and Fellows of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) (www.cim.co.uk).
