Solaglas in demand for riots clean-up

SOLAGLAS Installation, a division of specialist glazing company Solaglas, reported a surge in business following the recent riots across the country.

The firm, which is part of the Saint Gobain group, said it had taken more than the equivalent of two weeks worth of new instructions in a 48-hour period.

Service director Darren Dickinson said: “Being a 24/7 operation 365 days a year, we have the systems in place to cope with the surge in demand for events of this nature ensuring we support our customers in a very professional manner”.

The Rotherham-based company said that having “robust” IT systems played a major part in its ability to respond to its customers and deploy staff via personal digital assistants to the worst affected areas as a priority.

It delivered glass to major retailers including WH Smith and communications giant Everything Everywhere – the merger between Orange and T-Mobile.
