Michael Parkinson – a true Yorkshireman with a remarkable number of stories to tell.

What was your best subject at school?

Geography – particularly the field trips.

What are your hobbies?

Caravanning with my family. I love getting away from it all in the great outdoors and relaxing with the odd glass of wine.

Three numbers – probably buy a takeaway on the way home. Six numbers – I've always wanted to sail around the world, so that would have to be somewhere near the top of the wish-list.

What is your top-time saving tip?

Do the difficult things first – the longer you leave them the more difficult they seem and the longer they take.
