Trainee reporter in Norfolk.

Travel and write.

Believing I could one day retire at 55.

Spending it with family and friends. Over food. With wine.

What was your best subject at school?

Athletics, gymnastics and English.

What would you do if you won the lotto?

Hope it was just enough to take the pressure off. But not enough to cause a headache.

Arriving home to waiting man, meal and wildly excited dog.

What is your favourite item of clothing?

A classic, Chanel-style quilted jacket that I paid a fortune for more than 20 years ago.
