SSP co-founder steps down from role

The co-founder of insurance technology provider SSP is standing down as non-executive chairman, the company has announced.

David Rasche will become senior non-executive director, making way for Brad Henske.

Mr Henske is managing director of Hellman and Friedman, which became majority shareholder of the Halifax-based business following a £161m buyout in 2008.

Mr Rasche, who has been with the company for 21 years, said: “It’s the right time in my life to reduce my business commitments and spend half of my time on personal and family interests.

“SSP has a very capable CEO in Laurence Walker, who co-founded the business with me and he is building around him a strong team to take SSP to the next stage of its development.

“I look forward to continuing to contribute in a more advisory capacity, whilst still being involved in the industry.

“SSP will continue to be the business closest to my heart, because I have so many friends in the company, as well as among our clients and the industry generally.”
