Students going up in the world in £66m projects

MANOR Property Group has kicked off 2010 with £66m of property development investments.

The company, based in North Ferriby in East Yorkshire, has a portfolio of projects across the North of England worth 600m.

Two new projects have been announced following the completion of land acquisitions. The first is a 35-storey student skyscraper in Leeds and the second is for a 36m mixed-use scheme in Manchester for 672 student apartments, retail and office space.

Manor has a number of schemes in Hull and throughout the North covering leisure, retail, commercial and residential developments.

The 30m Manor Point student skyscraper on North Street in Leeds, designed by Carey Jones Architects, is expected to be completed for letting from September 2012. The deal was concluded on behalf of Manor by commercial law firm Lupton Fawcett, plus residential property agents Titchmarsh & Co.
