The Sheffield-based group said the lockdown restrictions, resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, are having a positive impact on its underlying market, with video gaming activity and console purchases accelerating faster than previously forecast.

Games developers have benefitted from people having to stay at home during the lockdown with little to do other than watch TV or play video games. The video games market is forecast to grow by 9 per cent over the next three years.
