Take different view to help out charities

A VIEW From The Hill, an initiative with aims to connect charities with members of the business community who are interested in volunteering, is hosting its next event in York.

The Leeds-based community interest company, which was founded by Ed Ryder, managing director of Biskit Marketing, ran two events last week, at the Houses of Parliament and St George’s Crypt in Leeds. It said both events were a success. The company will be hosting a similar event in York, on October 4 at The Bar Convent, Blossom Street.

Mr Ryder said: “We had lawyers, marketers, PR and accountancy skills available on the evening, along with many others. People came representing charities from across the full spectrum, from cancer to refugees.”
