Real estate investment manager Catella APAM has completed the £8m refurbishment of a prominent city centre office building

It acquired 1 City Square, which is located opposite Leeds Station, in 2018 for £32.275m on behalf of Britannia Invest A/S. Tennants include accountancy firm Deloitte.

The reception has been transformed into a collaborative business lounge, with a café and meeting rooms, in addition to two fitness suites, cycling facilities and showers.

The refurbishment comes as work continues on the redesign of the City Square which will include an enhanced network of pedestrian and cycle friendly routes and plans for new buildings, including City Square House, the new home for law firm DLA Piper.

Josh Whiteley, senior asset manager at APAM, said: “This refurbishment was an exciting opportunity for APAM to design an office space fit for the future of working.
