Tory MP for Wimbledon to get non-executive role in Yorkshire

OptiBiotix Health, which develops compounds to tackle obesity, high cholesterol and diabetes, said that it intends to appoint Stephen Hammond, MP, as a non-executive director, subject to the completion of regulatory due diligence.

Mr Hammond has been a Conservative Member of Parliament for Wimbledon since 2005.

His roles have included Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport from 2012 to 2014 and more recently Minister of State for the Department of Health and Social Care from 2018 to 2019.

Prior to his role in politics, he had a career in finance at a leading fund management house and at a number of major European investment banks.
