Last week, the Yorkshire Post published the A to Z list of Yorkshire’s fastest growing businesses ranked by annual turnover growth for the past three years.

Representatives from those businesses, along with leading business figures from the region, will now gather at Aspire Leeds for the Yorkshire Fastest 50 2012 Awards.

Awards will be handed out to the fastest growing large business, fastest growing medium business and fastest growing small business.

One of these three winners will then be crowned as Yorkshire’s overall fastest growing business.

Mr Verity said: “Yorkshire tourism is the third largest industry in the county so I am delighted to have this opportunity to tell some of our most exciting businesses leaders about our successes.”

Martin Hulls, senior office partner at Ward Hadaway Leeds, said: “We are delighted that Gary has kindly accepted our invitation to be the keynote speaker at this year’s Yorkshire Fastest 50 Awards. Tourism is a growing and increasingly important part of the economy in Yorkshire, and the work which Gary and his team at Welcome to Yorkshire carry out helps to promote the region not just nationally but around the world.”

Jamie Martin, managing partner at Ward Hadaway, said: “This kind of exposure is not only beneficial to tourist businesses, but also to Yorkshire’s wider business community and I am sure there will be great interest in what Gary has to say in his speech at the awards.”
