Uber spreads positivity with message website

A creative design firm has developed a website that is designed to emulate the coronavirus but spread happiness, unity and positivity instead.

Greg Clark, managing director of Sheffield-based Über Agency, briefed his team to come up with something that could have a positive effect on the coronavirus situation.

The result is www.infect.love, a website that shows positive messages from around the world and also raises money for the UN’s Covid-19 fund.

The site is split into two pages: the message wall and the world map.

The message wall was created as a place where everyone could say how they felt together. The more messages that come in the smaller they will appear. But you can zoom in and read all the comments.

The other page is a map of the world. This echoes how the covid-19 spread map works. It shows where messages were generated with a heart on the map and enables people to tag others. You can also zoom in and see the hearts split up in to different towns. The messages can be saved and shared on social media.

There is also a voluntary donate button for the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Mr Clark said: “Covid-19 has a higher infection rate than the flu. So we wanted to emulate this spread rate by tagging five friends. Those five friends tag five friends and so on.”

He added: “We are staying in contact through Zoom and Skype to keep work going and clients happy. However, like most industries right now, work flow has been affected, so we wanted to use any freed up time to try and do something good and try to help in some way.”
