Weather Lottery takes on Sheffield Wednesday

The Doncaster-based company has signed a multi-year contract to become online gaming partner for both clubs.

Under the contract The Weather Lottery will provide a full package of on-line gaming products to the clubs and their supporters.

Negotiations are continuing with several other clubs and the group said it hopes to make further announcements with other leading clubs.

The group had already signed an on-line gaming deal with Coventry City.

In addition the company will run the lotteries under the new themed "FC Lotto" brand, which it has created specially for the football market.

The contracts will start from the beginning of the football season with The Weather Lottery providing in-stadia and online gaming to the fan base.

The Weather Lottery, which raises funds for non-profit organisations such as sports clubs, charities, schools and universities, began its search for new, diverse clients earlier this year.
