We're in the queue for train tickets - back in three months (no pushing in, except in Leeds)

HARD-PRESSED commuters spend three-and-a-half months of their lives queuing for train tickets - but travellers in Leeds are more likely to push in than their counterparts in Sheffield.

The great British travel queue was named today as one of the most stressful aspects of daily life, along with waiting for the loo, paying for groceries and getting served at the bar.

Around one in three Leeds travellers admit to queue jumping, while only one in four Sheffield folk say they would do the same, according to research for ticket website Trainline.

The firm says train waiting times would be reduced by the use of mobile tickets stored on phones - but at present they are accepted on only 30 per cent of routes.
