Writer and wit Rory Bremner to be speaker at convention

FOR almost 30-years, no politician of any standing has escaped his sharp wit and uncanny impressions.

He’s not afraid to take on the big guns and mock them for the entertainment of the nation.

Now, Rory Bremner will be bringing his talents to the region to be a speaker at the Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC) in Bridlington.

As well as his comedy and satire, he is a playwright, newspaper columnist, writer, presenter and ballroom dancer.

Now in its seventh year, the annual YIBC has brought scores of inspiring world-class speakers before East Yorkshire’s business community. These have included Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Sir Bob Geldof and former United States president Bill Clinton.

And this year’s event – which for the fourth consecutive year takes place at the Spa, Bridlington – promises to be just as spectacular with former England football manager Kevin Keegan recently revealed as a speaker.

Other speakers at this year’s convention include retail guru Mary Portas, middle-distance athletic hero Steve Cram and Richard Branson’s former right-hand man, Will Whitehorn.

The event will take place at the Spa on Friday, June 15.
