Richard Walne, a former director of an NHS Foundation Trust, has been appointed to lead the new London office.

Rachel Beverley-Stevenson, the chief executive of One Medical Group, said yesterday: “2014 is already a very exciting year for One Medical Group.

“We have started strongly, with our patient-first approach securing the contract to run the new NHS Urgent Care Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire, and we’re extremely lucky to have Richard join the team and drive further expansion in London and the South.”

Mr Walne said yesterday: “This is a superb opportunity for me to combine over 30 years’ experience and my contacts in the health industry, to grow the One Medical Group offering in the heart of London’s health economy and beyond.”
