Lisa Cardy, FCN's Yorkshire Co-ordinator said: “FCN Yorkshire is so grateful for the support shown to us by our two Yorkshire celebrities Julian Norton and Amanda Owen.”

Mrs Cardy said the past year had been extremely difficult for all charities and these two events would be something to look forward to.

“2020 was such a challenging year for everyone and charities in particular as much needed fundraising events could not go ahead,” she said.

“These two events will hopefully be a highlight in what is proving to be a difficult winter, with another lockdown and the effects of Brexit on the farming community her in Yorkshire and nationally.”

Last year was FCN’s 25th anniversary. The charity, which runs the Farming Help Helpline, had to cancel its planned celebrations when the pandemic hit, but did manage to hold a walk under Covid guidelines which was supported by Julian Norton and FCN Trustee, the Bishop of Ripon Dr Helen Ann Hartley.

More details on the two fundraisers will be at fcn.org.uk
