Pitch-perfect student scoops top prize
Graduate and students pitched their ideas to a panel of business experts in a bid to win £1,500.
Ten finalists from Bradford, Huddersfield Hull, Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan, Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam, York and York St John universities and Leeds Trinity University College submitted business plans and cash flow projections before facing a gruelling question and answer session.

Hide AdThe awards were organised by Graduate Entrepreneurship Project, a Huddersfield University-led partnership of Yorkshire’s higher education institutions which supports student entrepreneurs into business.
Sheffield Hallam student Lucy Nuttall won first prize for her plans to supply forensic equipment. Head judge and Graduates Yorkshire chief executive Martin Edmondson, said: “The standard of business ideas was very impressive this year.
“All the judges agreed that Frontline Forensics is an exceptional business idea with bags of potential. Lucy has the drive and skills to really grow her business.”
