The ministers, who are collectively responsible for the education of more than 500 million pupils in India, asked if they could visit a successful primary and secondary school.

The council’s cabinet spokesman for children, young people and families, Coun Tim Cheetham, said he was delighted to welcome them. “Their visit will provide a good opportunity to highlight the many strengths in our schools.”
