University in £15m recruitment drive

HULL University is launching a £15m staff recruitment drive as its creates more than 100 academic posts in subjects including business, sciences, education and social care.

Over the next 12 months the university aims to appoint people to 24 professorial posts and 66 lecturers, including 21 senior roles.

Interim human resources director Andrew Snowden said: “This is a hugely exciting initiative for the university.

“At a time when other organisations are cutting costs, we are in the fortunate position of being able to recruit a substantial number of professionals to our workforce.

“We are committed to delivering excellence and we are confident that the right candidates will flourish at our university and help us to deliver a first-class student experience and outstanding research.”

Areas that Hull University will be recruiting to include the business school, the faculties of science, education, health and social care and arts and social sciences.

There will also be recruitment for administrative and professional services posts over the next year.
