Wetherby High School says it is looking forward to welcoming virtual visitors at its open evening to showcase its unique school community
It says it places relationships at the centre of its interactions with students and believes that students who have meaningful relationships in school are more connected to the school community:
"This enables our students to feel safe to take risks in their learning and their development as young people.
"At Wetherby High School we are deeply committed to ensuring the educational experience for each student unlocks their full potential. As such our ambitions for them stretch way beyond their exam results and their time with us. Placing students and their personal success at the heart of our work means that sometimes we do not take the easiest path, but the path that is right for each individual student. We know that when a child feels safe, happy and supported they thrive.
"We achieve this through our four school values
"Know our children well – being known well both as a learner and as an individual, means students feel valued as part of our school community.
"Enjoy and aspire – knowing our students as individuals mean we can provide extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities that challenge and inspire them.

"Character for achievement – developing students’ character will support them in attaining excellent exam results and also equip them to be successful adults in the world.
"Partners in learning – the relationship between home and school is vital to provide the challenge and support needed for students to realise their full potential.
"We are proud that the impact our student-centred approach was recognised by OSFSTED in our most recent inspection."
