Every parent is looking for the perfect balance for their child’s education: that normally comes down to a mix of reputation, class sizes and location.

The staff at Cundall Manor, an independent school between Ripon and Thirsk which caters for boys and girls, feel they have the balance just right; and with a new development for 2023/2024 which will make them an even more enticing proposition.

Parents joining the school will love the visionary headmaster and the enthusiastic teaching staff, and the fellowship of like-minded parents. Children will adore the friendly welcome, the chance to embrace the outdoors on the 28-acre site in the Vale of York, and the amazing opportunities throughout their childhood.

But for families with busy lives, the extended hours and weeks for nursery provision makes it even better. The nursery provision will extended to 48 weeks of the year, including wraparound care for pre and post session care. This, together with the incredible opportunities in pre-school, and from Year 1 onwards, will mean many parents will consider the school for ongoing education, not just for the nursery years.

What’s different about Cundall Manor?

With small class sizes and plenty of indoor and outdoor teaching space, they can do things a little differently. From Year 1 youngsters learn to swim in the indoor heated swimming pool. Mainstream curriculum education is balanced alongside woodland school and outdoor classes, where children learn about their surrounding natural world, as well as practical lessons.

And right from the start of their education Cundall Manor focusses on the future, helping prepare children for the challenges and opportunities of the years to come.

Families with more than one child in the fee-paying school years are given a discount, while government-funded nursery places are available to all.
