The confirmed number of coronavirus deaths in the UK has risen to 2,352.

The figures refer to people who have died after being hospitalised and tested positive for coronavirus.

These figures are correct as of 5pm on Tuesday, March 31.

As of 9am on Wednesday, April 1, a total of 152,979 people have been tested.

29,474 tested have tested positive

Regional figures will be released later.
