Coronavirus death total increases by 65 in Yorkshire

The death total from coronavirus has increased by 65 in Yorkshire according to new figures.

A total of 65 new deaths have been confirmed in the region in new figures published on Tuesday.

This increases the total death toll figures from 716 to 781 in Yorkshire.

The new figures include deaths of patients who have died in hospitals in England and had tested positive for Covid-19 at time of death.

All deaths are recorded against the date of death rather than the day the deaths were announced.

There were a total of 744 new deaths announced in England in the latest figures.

The new deaths in each area of Yorkshire are as follows:

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust - 3

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - 2

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - 4

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - 7

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust - 1

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 3

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 17

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 6
