This is the location of the seven new coronavirus deaths recorded at Yorkshire hospitals

A further seven coronavirus deaths have been recorded at hospitals across Yorkshire.

The NHS England update reflects deaths recorded in the latest reporting period from 5pm on Tuesday, June 23 to 5pm on Wednesday, June 24.

It brings the total number of coronavirus deaths at hospitals in Yorkshire to 2,802.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - 1

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust - 1

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 1
