Two coronavirus deaths registered at Yorkshire hospitals

There have been two further coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire hospitals, according to the latest figures.

One person died at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and one person died at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

They both died yesterday (Sunday, August 9).

It brings the total number of deaths across Yorkshire to 2,907.

Four other people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital elsewhere in England.

It brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29,419, NHS England said on Monday.

The patients were aged between 65 and 93 and all had known underlying health conditions.

A total of 337 people have died after testing positive at Leeds hospitals.
