Yorkshire hospitals record 51 more deaths of Covid patients

Yorkshire hospitals have recorded a further 51 deaths of patients who had tested positive for Covid-19, according to the latest daily statistics.

Figures released by NHS England show 582 deaths were recorded in the 24 hours to 4pm on Monday, including 51 in Yorkshire and The Humber.

The deaths took place between November 5 2020 and January 4 2021, with the time taken for positive results to be received among the potential factors in a delay between a death happening and being recorded.
