The celebrity chefs visited the Harrogate restaurant, which opened in 2014, to meet some of the staff, with both men donning their chef’s whites to show
they still have what it takes at the hobs.

Speaking to The Yorkshire Post, Mr Oliver said of his spa town restaurant: “It’s a beautiful place and it’s great to come up here.”

The popular chef has long been a supporter of fresh local produce and said this ethos was very much at the heart of his restaurant chain.

Mr Oliver said: “Food can be fun and it can also be healthy. I could go all the way through the menu and point out that our milk is organic, our eggs and chickens are free range and our beef is all grass fed.

“Outside London all of our restaurants use local meat. So here all are meat comes from Yorkshire and that’s important to us.”

Mr Oliver is back on our TV screens in a new Channel 4 series - Jamie’s Super Food - which sees him go off the beaten track exploring some of the places where people are the healthiest and live the longest.

His journey takes him from the volcanic island of Jeju in South Korea and the alpine landscapes of Switzerland, to the Italian island of Sardinia, where he chats to locals and discovers more about the kind of food they eat and whether we can learn anything from them.

Mr Oliver added: “I’ve been on a amazing road trip visiting South Korea, Switzerland and Sardinia, discovering truly delicious dishes, meeting some incredible people and hearing all about their way of life.

“I’ve taken all these gems and nuggets of inspiration and used them to help me turn your family favourites into nutritious and totally delicious meals that you can enjoy at home, every day of the week.”
