Here is this week's top pick of good value bottles to savour

Co-operative Premium Leyda Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2009, down from 7.99 to 5.99, until March 23. Delicious lime and grapefruit flavours, backed by crisp minerally freshness in this wine. Definitely worth its full price, so snap it up while it is on offer.

Co-operative Premium Barossa Valley Shiraz 2006, Australia, down from 7.99 to 5.99, until March 23. Another distinct bargain from the Co-op in this deep, spiced plum and chocolate-drenched wine. There is some oak, but not enough to intrude on the fruit.

Cono Sur Pinot Noir 2009, Chile, Morrisons, down from 5.99 to 4.99 until April 11. One of the best good-value Pinot Noirs, capturing perfectly the sweet fruit and delicacy of this difficult grape variety. It isn't Burgundy, nor Otago, but it is very good.

Brut Cava, Spain, Marks and Spencer, down from 6.99 to 4.99 until April 5. Much better than some of the bigger brands, this well-made cava has bright citrus fruit and a touch of nutty complexity. Good enough to drink on its own and cheap enough to use in cocktails.
