WIN: Tickets to Leeds Rum Festival - coming to the city September 15 and 16

New Craven Hall will host this brand new two day event including 100 rums, live music, cocktails and street food.

The Leeds Rum Festival - full details at therumfestival.co.uk - will be held at New Craven Hall, 2 Fairfield House, New Craven Gate, Leeds, on Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16.

Entry is £8.55 to £13.87 to each of three sessions, which will be held Friday, 6.30pm to 11.30pm; Saturday, 12.30pm to 5pm; 6.30pm to 11.30pm.

Leeds Rum Festival aims to bring Caribbean and Cuban sunshine to Yorkshire with rum, cocktails, food and music from around the globe.

It will showcase over 100 different rums including new and exclusive rums, producers and a variety of entertainment.

On arrival you will be greeted by one of the festival's so-called Rumun’s, who will hand you a Rum Festival glass - a gift for you to take home.

You will also get a brochure, full of information on all the rums you can try, with fun facts about each of the festival's suppliers and the suggested garnish to compliment your drink.

Visitors will need to purchase drinks vouchers to taste the rum’s, these will be available from a stand in the main hall. The drinks vouchers all include a mixer of choice and fresh garnish.

"Throughout the event there will be live entertainment and dancing; talks from rum industry experts, food to buy and lots of fun," said an organiser.

"If you’re new to rum don’t worry, our friendly Rumun’s will recommend a few to get you going or tell you all about their favourites.

"We call our teams Rumuns, from rum'un or rum one - someone who is a bit quirky; a little bit naughty, but still eminently loveable."

The event is strictly for over 18s and you may be asked for ID.
