At Home With Jane McDonald

Wakefield-born Jane shot to stardom in 1998 when she first appeared on the BBC docusoap The Cruise, topping the bill on board the ship The Galaxy.

Her first album gained her a place in Guinness World Records,  staying in the Top 10 for eight weeks.

Jane is a one woman band in every sense and has her own company Jane McDonald Ltd. She produces her own albums on her own label, is executive producer on her latest CD/DVD, Live at the London Palladium and works alongside her musical director on arrangements and recordings.

She has built up a large audience in Britain and has played the MGM Grand, Las Vegas. A favourite panelist on Loose Women for more than six years, Jane is also a  regular guest on The Alan Titchmarch Show.

Q: Describe your style.

A: Cosy with large sofas, a big fireplace and very light fabrics.

  Q: How do you decorate for Christmas?

A: You can see my house from space.  I have a massive tree and lots of lights. 

Q: Where and how will you spend Christmas this year?

A: With my mum and Ed.

A: I’m definitely an M&S girl and I also like Barker and Stonehouse. 

Q: What’s the best item you’ve ever bought for your home?

A: My white grand piano. 

Q: What’s on your Christmas wish list this year?

A: That I have some quality time with my fiancé and family.

Q: How do you relax at the end of a busy day?

A:  With a glass of wine, feet up and Coronation Street on the telly!
