Building a community is key to combatting loneliness epidemic

Jay Wiliams who organises Big Lunch events in Roundhay also makes a point of introducing herself to new neighbours and adds: 'We have a few older people who live on their own and so if I'm baking a crumble, I'll make a few small ones and pop round with them. It just reminds people that they are cared about.
